Expedition & Car Convoy FAQs
What vehicle requirements are needed for 4x4 car convoy expeditions?
We recommend high-ground-clearance 4x4 or AWD vehicles equipped with all-terrain tires. Self-drive participants can join in their own vehicles or reserve an expedition-prepped 4x4 through Plus530 Adventure.
What support team accompanies the car convoy?
Every convoy is led by an experienced Lead Expedition Leader, a dedicated sweep vehicle, lead mechanic team with spare parts, radio communication equipment, and a certified medical responder.
How does single occupancy pricing work for solo drivers/travelers?
All expedition prices are per person on a double-sharing basis (2 persons sharing 1 room). If you prefer single occupancy (a private room throughout the trip), the price is 2x (doubled).
What high altitude medical support and emergency protocols are in place?
All expedition vehicles carry portable supplemental oxygen cylinders, medical first-aid kits, pulse oximeters, and AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) emergency response protocols. Crew members are trained in high-altitude emergency care.
